My wife and I started feeding our backyard birds in 2013 and we really enjoyed seeing the different kinds and colors of birds outside our kitchen window. I got curious about making seed cylinders and began "playing" with recipes. Before I knew it, I was making our own seed cylinders in various "flavors" as well as various sizes & shapes. I was having fun. Then I began "playing" with suet recipes. Before I knew it, I was making our own suet in various "flavors" as well as various sizes & shapes. I was still having fun. Somewhere along this adventure, I started giving samples of my "recipes" to neighbors and family members - they (and their backyard birds) loved the fresh "flavors" and shapes of my products. I started selling my home made products online and getting 5-star reviews for uniqueness, freshness, service, and attraction to backyard birds. As my journey continued to unfold, I started making and offering other unique foods, feeders, and accessories that "birders" enjoy. I'm especially proud of my Empty Nest brand of Wild Bird foods and BirdBrella brand of Weather Covers. Somewhere along the way, I certainly learned that squirrels like wild bird food too, so, I also consult others on how to deter the little critters and have many happy customers that use our Slippery Slope feeder pole wrap or Backyard Buffet squirrel / critter feeding station. (kind of a win-win solution) Today, I still enjoy being a Wild Bird Food Chef and serving others that enjoy feeding their backyard birds, squirrels, and critters.
